![]() ![]() Killing floor 1 is an older game and it does has its own problems due to this such as “janky” hitboxes, somethings happen that don’t always make sense but honestly imo this is part of the fun of KF1 and it’s something you get use to and can adapt to. Sometimes you might have to be open minded to playing higher pinged servers which is definitely doable but it’ll require you to adapt to its delays etc. USA/Asia is the most inactive for KF1, but they’re still active to an extent. Nowadays the game isn’t as popular and this can make it very unappealing, but it’s definitely not dead especially in certain regions. Personally I prefer KF1 but I’ve been playing KF1 for a very long time and I’ve put in the time back when the game was a lot more popular which made the game a little more bearable to learn as it’s not exactly a game you can easily jump into without having a little understanding of everything due to its unforgiving gameplay and mechanics. charging money for new weapons kind of sucks but would be somewhat acceptable if the prices were not outrageous, but they are, and that ruins this game's long term replayability.īoth games are very different so I wouldn’t really suggest totally disregarding one over the other. instead of bring greedy af they should have concentrated on adding new content like new monsters like the shiver or brute or new bosses maybe. KF2 could definitely use some more variance or content instead of them just being super greedy and charging stupid amounts of money for a 35 dollar game that should have more content included in that price.Īll in all KF2 is an exceptionally well made game, the physics, mechanics, graphics, and music are excellent, unfortunately they decided to be super greedy instead of respecting their loyal fanbase and offering fair prices in the shop. I probably spent roughly a hundred dollars on zombimaniya micro shops because of how reasonably priced the exp bundles for perks were, and the donation weapons were very fun. because of the obscene prices of everything in the micro shop i will never purchase anything in KF2 ever. ![]() it's a very well made game all around but unfortunately the obscene cost of the DLC's and weapon unlocks and cosmetics is a super lame greedy cash grab which feels like a total disrespect to the loyal killing floor players, pretty sure 35 dollars (not on sale) is enough money for them to make from the get go. gameplay is very smooth, graphics are excellent, music is exceptional, gun physics are on par with KF1 well done same satisfaction almost minus the fact theres not enough weapons and they charge a ridiculous amount to unlock new weapons. KF2 i got on sale for 9 dollars so no complaints there. Unfortunately theres almost nobody left playing there. suicidal and hell on earth difficulties were seriously brutal af, HoE was like one two hits your dead, which is very realistic. KF1 seemed more difficult overall and you actually had to play perk classes with some level of skill to survive. micro shop was reasonably priced and balanced to pump exp into perks you wanted to level faster, and you didnt have to buy any weapons. also there was two added modded monsters which added a lot more variance and strategy to the game, shiver and brute, shiver could teleport to you from medium distance and block your movements or escapes and the brute would block headshots with his arm and was able to smash you and knock you back when he got close, this drastically improved the gameplay and difficulty in general. i played KF1 for 5 years on zombiemaniya servers exclusively where perks level to 250 with new perk weapons every 10 levels. But KF1 was the father of the saga to come and I will always have it in me and more when I feel like playing it. I still love both games.Ĭonclusion: I like KF2 much more for me. Well not to mention in KF2, where veterans or pros in suicidal and HOE can be serious and stubborn mids. And other things that I loved about KF1, it hurts that its time, fewer players fall to play them and it is difficult to find good friendly teams. On the other hand KF1, they have better atmosphere, soundtracks, the weapons are very cool, it is very nostalgic, the maps are a true worthy of supporting each event and others are well accepted. And that's the good thing about that you can try using mods for fun, but not for long. Say goodbye to each update there less content and have to wait if the KF3 will come out, even so I will continue playing it you should from time to time and more when we have Workshop like KF1. Reasons: Despite the criticism of KF2 for the HRG and DLC weapons, the EDARS, the balance chaos, the essence of removing the sci-fi horror atmosphere, and other things. But KF1 I will have it as a legend and in my heart as a great game. In my humble opinion and honestly, I much prefer the KF2. ![]()
